Privacy Policy
Effective May 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Foster Audio LLC ("Foster Audio," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website or use our remote mixing service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account info: first name, last name, email address, password (hashed), and optional church name and church website.
- Project info: project title, notes, and the audio files (stems) you upload.
- Communications: messages you send us through forms or email.
- Payment info: handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. We receive a customer ID, the last four digits, brand, and billing metadata from Stripe so we can show your payment history and issue refunds.
Information collected automatically
- Log data: IP address, browser, device, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected by our hosting provider.
- Cookies / local storage: we use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in (Supabase auth) and to remember basic preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account;
- To receive your audio files, perform the mixing service, and deliver the finished mixes;
- To process payments and issue receipts or refunds;
- To send service-related emails (project status, delivery notifications, account or billing updates);
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your audio files with third parties except the service providers listed below who process data on our behalf.
3. Service Providers
We rely on a small set of reputable vendors to operate the Service:
- Supabase — authentication and database (account, project, and profile data).
- Amazon Web Services (S3) — secure storage of uploaded stems and delivered mixes.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (receipts, project notifications).
- Vercel — website hosting and request logging.
Each provider only receives the data it needs to perform its function and is contractually bound to handle that data appropriately.
4. Legal Bases & Disclosure
We process personal data to perform our contract with you (deliver the Service), to comply with legal obligations, and where appropriate based on our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to satisfy legal and tax obligations.
- Audio stems and deliverables: retained in your portal for the life of your account so you can re-download. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
- Payment records: retained as required by tax and accounting law (generally seven years in the U.S.).
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our cloud providers, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk and should keep your password confidential.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, email notandrewjones@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to deletion. We do not sell personal information and do not engage in "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where a higher age applies), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Users
Foster Audio is based in the United States, and the Service is operated from the U.S. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your country of residence.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Service.
